Stephani Elliott is a caring and experienced GI nurse practitioner

To serve even more patients, our Plano gastroenterologist welcomed Stephani Elliott to the team in 2020 as a GI nurse practitioner. She provides each patient with a customized treatment plan, and she empowers them to confidently participate in their GI care.

Patients benefit from our GI nurse practitioner’s education and experience

Stephani Elliott has a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science from Texas State University and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Texas Woman’s University. On top of that, our GI nurse practitioner has a Master of Science in nursing adult/gerontology primary care nurse practitioner from the University of Texas Arlington. She has also received registered nurse (RN) training in endoscopy, day surgery and post-anesthesia care (PACU).

Our GI nurse practitioner has a decade and a half of experience treating patients in hospital, surgical center and medical office settings. Additionally, she has nearly a decade of procedural nursing experience, performing both routine and emergency endoscopic procedures in outpatient and inpatient settings.

This wealth of education and experience allows our nurse practitioner to help our patients overcome a wide range of GI concerns. She realizes that many patients view their digestive problems as embarrassing. As a result, she works to create a compassionate and comfortable environment where patients can discuss their issues and receive effective care.

Stephani Elliott has been working to improve patient care for all

Stephani believes part of her duty as a GI nurse practitioner is to always look for new ways to improve patient care. As a result, she has worked on several professional projects to enhance patient safety and outcomes. For example, she assisted with a staggered staffing initiative to improve safety for day surgery patients at Baylor Scott & White McKinney.

She is a member of the Texas Nurse Practitioners Organization. This membership allows her to stay current on updates in the profession, which benefits each of her patients.
